The H4FA was formed on 1 July 2000 by a vote of those members of our extended family who attended the first national-scale Hauser/Hooser reunion in many decades centered on the Moravian farming village of Bethania, North Carolina, founded in colonial Wachovia in 1759.
Our co-founders, Randall Hill “Randy” Hooser of Madison, Alabama, and Dr. Paul Harold Bardell, Ph. D., of Carmel, New York, described the new organization they had in mind and proposed the motion which was adopted unanimously.
Three more such reunions have been held: in 2005 at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky; 2011 at Helena, Montana; and 2015 at Clemmons, North Carolina.
At present the H4FA is a not-for-profit, unincorporated association registered in Forsyth County, North Carolina, with the following objectives:

Seven of the sons and grandsons of our immigrant couple, Martin Sr. and Maria, have been honored as Revolutionary War Patriots by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
